Niagara River Lions

The Niagara River Lions are a professional Canadian basketball team and two-time CEBL champions. I’ve worked with the team for over four years as a videographer and photographer, creating a wide range of video content including in-venue hype videos, fan-focused social media promos, and game recaps. My work focuses on capturing the atmosphere, energy, and fanbase that make River Lions basketball unique within the CEBL.

Playoff Hype Video

Hype video I shot and edited for the 2024 CEBL playoffs. This video combines footage from media day with broadcast commentary, athlete interview clips, and game b-roll captured throughout the season to create an energetic, narrative-driven promo to the River Lions’ playoff run. The story centers on their identity as the league’s most consistently successful team that had yet to win their first championship. A feat which they ultimately achieved that season.

Gameday Hype Video

A hype video produced for the 2024 River Lions season, designed to set the tone in-venue before each home game and generate hype on social media. The visuals are mainly from a media day shoot I did with the athletes, giving the video a consistent look and a strong player-focused identity.

10-Year Anniversary

Fan appreciation hype video produced for the team’s ten-year anniversary season. For this video, I went around the arena and interviewed fans, capturing their messages for the river lions players and what the River Lions mean to them. The final video celebrates a decade of community, fan and support that has shaped the team’s identity.
